BLUEBERRY OAT BREAKFAST BITES
Organic cooked and cooled oats (previously soaked) are the way to go for those who have a harder time digesting them! Oats can be nourishing and supportive for your gut flora when prepared properly and tolerated by the individual. Time to make these oats taste like dessert with my blueberry breakfast bites. I’d often advocate for women to go for a more protein dense breakfast but if you are anything like me, you like to have homemade snacks ready to go either for a smaller second breakfast or mini snack throughout the day!
YOU’LL NEED TO MAKE 4 PORTIONS:
Choose organic raw and sprouted gf oats, if you want to see if your digestion tolerates them better. Otherwise, go for your regular oats of preference. Digestibility can always be improved by pre-soaking any oats of your choice!
Cook four portions of oats on the stove according to the instructions with milk of choice
Add in 1 tbsp of cinnamon powder and 50g fresh/frozen blueberries
Pour into a glass container or four individual glass containers (I get affordable ones from IKEA) and press down with a spoon - let cool and refrigerate
When ready to consume pop out of your container and top with whatever you desire - I recommend melting down a portion of extra frozen blueberries, greek yoghurt for protein and a dash of maple syrup
I really hope this gives you some new inspiration on the classic blueberry and oat combinations!
Enjoy! Love Dani x
